Prime Minister PM Narendra Modi infrastructure is all set to lay the Foundation Stone of Various infrastructure development projects worth Rs 6100 crore in Warangal, Telangana on July 8.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for several infrastructure projects worth over Rs 6,000 crore at Hanamkonda in Telangana. Addressing a public meeting at the Arts College ground, he said that the government attaches importance to infrastructure development and enhanced connectivity as it contributes a lot in achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat. Stating that there has been a spurt in infrastructure development during the last nine years, Shri Modi said that many such projects are passing through Telangana. He reiterated that the central government is committed to the development of all the states.
Union Road Transport (URT) and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said the highway projects whose foundation stones were laid today will help develop backward areas of the state and also improve connectivity, especially in industrial corridors and SEZs.
The Prime Minister’s Programme
The projects include a 176-km national highway worth over ₹5,550 crore and a rail wagon manufacturing facility with an investment of ₹500 crore.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will not attend the Prime Minister’s programme. He appointed T Srinivas, a minister representing the state government, to receive Modi.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday said his party’s cadre will boycott Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit in protest against the Centre’s alleged “anti-Telangana” stand.
