Salaar box office collection Day 1: The film Salaar starring director Prabhas has been released in theaters on 22nd December, and as soon as it was released, it made an impressive debut at the box office by earning a decent domestic total of Rs 95 crore. According to industry tracker Sacanilc, the film achieved 88 percent occupancy in Telugu on the first day. Salaar has been released in 5 languages. In Hindi, Telugu, English, Tamil, and Kannada. According to the film’s producer Hombale Films, Salaar has grossed Rs 175 crore (initial estimates) worldwide.

In the United States and North America, Salaar ranked second in the top 5 premieres for Indian films with a gross of $2.60 million, just behind RRR with $3.46 million. Other films in the list include Baahubali 2, Kabali and Leo with $2.45 million, $1.92 million and $1.86 million respectively.
The biggest opener in India so far was Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan, which had earned Rs 75 crore on its first day, but Prabhas’s film Sallar has already overtaken it. Sallar has made a tremendous comeback for Prabhas, before this the film “Adipurush” started with a loss of 86 crores in India. Radhe Syam, which starred Pooja Hegde as the lead actress alongside Prabhas, opened with earnings of Rs 43.10 crore. Sahu, released in 2019, had a tremendous opening and earned Rs 89 crore.

For director Prashant Neel, who previously directed the KGF films, this box office opening is not the best start to his career. The 2022 film KGF 2 opened with a collection of Rs 116 crore in India and has grossed over Rs 1000 crore worldwide.
Salaar also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu in lead roles. The film was produced by Vijay Kiragandur and will be released in two parts: Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and Shouryanga Parvam Part 2.
Shahrukh and Prabhas’s film was released in December this year, both of them were released one day behind the other. This film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, collected Rs 30 crore on the first day.
